…Versatile and Roundly – Groomed for the Senate

The dawn of another Political dispensation behoves. Soon, it would be time for us to choose and elect our political leaders and representatives into the various levels of government and Legislative Houses.

This opportunity presents to us a chance to effect a “Positive Change” in the political leadership of the Isoko Nation in particular and Nigeria in general. And as we prepare to exercise this constitutional right to effect change, I urge all well-meaning Isoko sons and daughters to exercise their right to choice wisely. We must ensure that we use our vote and right of choice, as effective weapons to effect a positive change in the political leadership of the Isoko Nation and Nigeria in general.

The unfolding political permutation in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) zoning arrangement, favours the Isoko Nation to pick the Delta South Senatorial slot for the 2011 general elections. The Isoko Nation must take full advantage of this envisaged opportunity, to send to the National Assembly, one, amongst her best. The reality of the above permutation has thrown up many of our sons and daughters, jostling for this lone, but all important ticket. So many of them are credible and worthy of the ticket. This indeed, is a welcome development for the Isoko Nation.

One of the front runners for the Delta South Senatorial ticket is Arc. (Barr.) James Oghenero Akporero. He is a worthy son of Nigeria but of Isoko extraction. He is a man of character and integrity. He possesses one of the basic ingredient that constitute good character – Consistency. This much, he has demonstrated all through these years.

James Akporero is a man of many parts. He has been a success story in almost everything he has done so far. He’s upright and disciplined, and passionate about youth empowerment through education. The indelible mark of his giant strides in this regard are there for all to see.

He has taken ample time to prepare himself for quality service. He meets all the requirements for leadership. This is by virtue of his education and exposure. He is ever willing to offer his services. And has track records to his credit and a personality that can be respected and recognized nationally.

James Akporero has proved his mettle within a very short time and carved a niche for himself  in the minds of the people. He is a man whose vision has affected lives positively.

He is a man imbued with a rare gift of humility, a man generously endowed with ponderous vision. A man who believes that the essence of leadership is a vision that is clearly and forcefully articulated and not loud trumpeting. This is a man who has been playing hire – wire politics to market himself for acceptability at the locus of power at the centre.

Both his activites and life have distinguished him as a patriotic son of Isoko and Nigeria in general. For those involved in the struggle to ensure the total emancipation of the Nigerian youth, this man stands out. Even though he is not in position of authority, his contributions towards the development of Isoko land cannot be denied. He has been involved in various youths developmental activities, setting standards as it were and, raising the bar.

That Arc. (Barr.) James Akporero is a round peg in a round hole for the job of the Senate is restating the truth. His antecedents attests to the fact that, his choice for the Senate, will be well deserved.

James Akporero has the passion, capacity and capability to be in the Senate and make a serious impact. He can give the Isoko Nation, Delta South Senatorial Zone and Delta State in general, the good representation they deserve in the National Assembly.

Since the inception of this political dispensation, the Isoko Nation have lost so much. We have lost almost 12 years without any vibrant representation at the centre. So the time has come for the Isoko Nation to send forth somebody, with requisite experience and education that can serve better in the Senate and indeed, in all other leadership positions.

We need a representative who can help us to salvage and recover what we have lost in the National Assembly. We need someone who will be able to make inputs in the preparation of budgets, so that, our people can get the desired dividends of governance. There can be no better icing for the Isoko Nation and  Delta South Senatorial Zone, than the choice cum election of the versatile and roundly – groomed, Arc. (Barr.) James Oghenero Akporero, as their Senator in the National Assembly, come 2011.

Finally, I appeal to all Isoko sons and daughters and respectable groups, whose vision and existence is anchored on driving for a ‘positive change’ in the polity of the Isoko Nation in particular and Nigeria in general, to adopt, endorse and project Arc. (Barr.) James Oghenero Akporero, as the preferred ‘positive change’ candidate for the Delta South Senatorial Zone. He is a saleable, marketable and electable candidate.
