Born 45 years ago in the ancient City of Benin, to parents of Isoko North Local Government Area origin in Delta State, James Oghenero Akporero is a man of vision, purpose and determination. An accomplished double professional.
In Nigeria’s corporate World, he is currently Head, Corporate Affairs, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), as well as Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Worldtime Communications Limited, a world class printing and publishing Company with State of the Art Print reproduction, equipment, at Warri, Delta State:
Akporero holds a Bachelors and Master Degrees in Architecture from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 1989 and 1991 respectively. He also holds an LLB Degree in Law from the Rivers State University of Science and Technology (RSUST) in 2001. A motivational speaker, Business Manager, Administrator, Legal Luminary and Political Technocrat, he has well over 18 years post graduate experience (including 10 years of Senior Management experience) Spanning Human Capital Management, Projects/Strategy development and Legal practice from major organizations such as BZB Nigeria Ltd, Port Harcourt, E.C UKALA (SAN), Akporero Nigeria Ltd, amongst others.
Presently, at the verge of completing his Masters Degree in Business Administration, in the Faculty of Management Sciences, University of Benin, Arc. (Barr.) James Akporero is a man committed to excellence and intellectual development. He is very sound.
A strategic business partner, Arc. (Barr.) James Akporero has talent for influencing and aligning competencies and skills of the human capital (workforce) with business strategy.
His other Areas of competence are:
Leadership, visioning, change management, performance management, Team and Relationship Building, Political Education, Motivation and mentoring, Diversity Management, Public Education skills and Strategic Direction.
A family man, James Akporero is married to Eucharia Ngozi Akporero and they are blessed with three children, Jennifer 17, James Akporero (Jnr) 16 and Daniel, 12
HIS VISION:
His vision is to give Delta South Senatorial Zone a deserving formidable representation at the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, thereby making Delta South a beacon of excellence in terms of adequate representation and development amongst the three Senatorial Zones in Delta State within a period of four years.
In other words, he intends to make the dividends of governance not only visible but available to all and sundry in the Senatorial Zone within the stated time frame.
HIS MISSION:
His mission is to achieve a turn-around of the fortunes of the average Delta South person economically, educationally, financially and socially through a well defined programme of development and empowerment.
